It's Symphonic Folk/Pagan Metal. Well executed, but they do not redefine the genre. Narrator and wave-like pacing are keeping the album interesting.

pieman280 It took a moment, but this album grew to be one of the best folk metal pieces I've every heard. Everything from the tale of legendary stone with mining ambience thrown in, to the cheesy opening of the mystic forest, or the mouth harp mixed in with metal, is just brilliant. But there's just something perfectly catchy to every song's melody, and flow, that keeps it stuck in my head, and coming back again and again for the same tale. Its just a fantastic album! Favorite track: Mystic Forest.

Stéphane Gallay Au final, Kauna est un album plutôt sympathique. Il gère bien ses ambiances, mais sans vraiment être très original. Et il mériterait une touche plus “naturelle”, plus tradi. (Chroniqué sur alias.erdorin.org) Favorite track: Fest In Midgard.
